LOWELL, MA (July 13, 2026) — Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union is pleased to present the Greater Lawrence Italian Women's Club with a donation of $1,500 as the second quarter winner of the Credit Union's Give-A-Click campaign.
The Give-A-Click program runs quarterly on the We Share a Common Thread Foundation website (WSACT.com). Community members visit the site, learn about the worthy non-profit nominees, and cast their votes for the organization they would like to support. The program with the most votes at the end of the quarter is awarded a $1,500 donation from the Foundation. The second-quarter nominees include the Greater Lawrence Italian Women's Club, Little Heroes Group Home, and Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County.
The Greater Lawrence Italian Women's Club is a group of women of Italian descent or who are married to someone with Italian heritage, whose purpose is to help through learning, teaching, and service to the Merrimack Valley community. They not only support charitable causes and teach about Italian heritage and customs, they also support the Merrimack Valley by annually awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors of Italian descent from Greater Lawrence.
"Thank you to everyone who cast their vote for the Greater Lawrence Italian Women's Club," said Phyllis Leary, Board Member and Charity Chairwoman. "This really goes to show that even a small group can have a big impact."
"Organizations like the Greater Lawrence Italian Women's Club strengthen our community through service, education, and a commitment to helping others," said Larissa C. Thurston, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union. "Their members honor their Italian heritage not only by celebrating their traditions, but by giving back and creating opportunities that make our community stronger for generations to come."
Community members can now cast their vote for Jeanne D'Arc's third quarter Give-A-Click nominees. The nominees for this quarter's campaign are the Angel Flight NE, Notre Dame Education Center, and the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center.
