OC Federal Credit Union Welcomes Cassandra “Cassie” Skebe to Mortgage Lending Team

OC Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Cassandra “Cassie” Skebe to its mortgage lending team, bringing with her a strong background in consumer lending and a passion for helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals.

Prior to joining OC Federal, Cassie spent five years with Huntington Bank, where she gained extensive experience in consumer lending, including home equity loans, home equity lines of credit, and first mortgages. While her background in lending laid a strong foundation, her long-term goal was always to transition fully into mortgage lending in a more relationship-focused environment.

“I knew I wanted to become a mortgage loan officer because I enjoy building connections with people during some of the biggest milestones in their lives,” said Skebe. “I wanted to be somewhere that felt more personal — where I could truly get to know members face-to-face and create lasting relationships.”

Cassie was drawn to OC Federal’s community-centered culture and collaborative atmosphere after previously working alongside Mortgage and Consumer Sales Manager/VP Timothy Federico earlier in her career.

“Tim was a huge mentor to me and really helped shape me into the lender I am today,” she said. “Joining OC Federal felt like the perfect opportunity to continue growing professionally while being part of a team that genuinely values its members and employees.”

Her interest in mortgage lending first began while working in a Huntington branch, where she was inspired by a mortgage loan officer who demonstrated the impact strong financial guidance and personal relationships can have on members throughout the homebuying process.

At OC Federal, Cassie looks forward to helping members navigate home financing with confidence while continuing to grow within the mortgage industry. Outside of the office, Cassie enjoys gardening during the summer months and spending time at home with her dogs.
